2025 Legislative Session & Transportation Package
For more than a year, The Street Trust has been convening and collaborating to shape better transportation legislation in 2025.
Our 2025 Legislative Agenda prioritizes sustainable, progressive transportation funding for Oregonians and includes defending popular programs such as Safe Routes to School, targeted solutions for our deadliest arterials, and improving access and convenience for people who can’t or don’t drive.

Great Streets (2022-23)
We want streets to be safe, accessible, equitable, and low carbon.
The Street Trust advocated for increased investments in complete streets, winning $50 million allocation toward Great Streets from Biden’s BIL and $1 million additional in the 2023 Oregon Legislative Session via HB 3113.
E-Bikes for All is now the Oregon Micromobility Network!
Since fighting 2024, our group has been working to formalize and grow our network. This included serving on Oregon’s Electric Micromobility Working Group in the legislature to inform development of measured, sensible approaches to micromobility safety regulation and education.

Proposed Update to OR’s Historic Bike Bill (2021)
We built the Safe Routes for All Coalition for the 2021 Oregon Legislative Session to try to pass SB 395, to expand investments improve accessibility and safety statewide for road users by increasing the share of state highway funds invested in walking and biking from 1% to 5%.
Fixing our Streets (2024)
Voter-passed gas tax renewal for City of Portland.
The Street Trust actively supported the City of Portland’s renewal of the 10-cent-per-gallon tax which funds street and sidewalk maintenance and safety projects.
Get Moving (2020)
In 2017, The Street Trust co-founded the Getting There Together Coalition with the generous support of the Bullitt and Oregon Community Foundations and Meyer Memorial Trust. In 2019-2020, #TST servec on task force advising Metro Council on the T2020 regional investment ballot measure.
